Deep Tissue Massage

Combining the centuries-old practice of deep tissue massage with the cutting edge systems of SaltCube.

Our massage therapists have used their extensive skills and experience to design fusion treatments that incorporate our unique biohacking systems to bring you a truly tailor-made experience. This combines the centuries-old holistic, healing and hands-on approach of massage with the state of the art systems here at our site.

Deep tissue massage techniques are used to break up scar tissue and physically break down muscle “knots” or adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) that can disrupt circulation and cause pain, limited range of motion and inflammation.  It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This all takes place in our transcendental halotherapy room where the warmed Himalayan salt gives off negative ions that help to relieve anxiety and reduce stress, creating the perfect environment for a massage.  The audio, lighting and heating can be adjusted to make you as comfortable as possible.

Our aim is to ensure you receive a unique, quality experience that will help you achieve your individual goals whilst leaving you feeling wonderfully rejuvenated and relaxed.

At certain times during the massage, you may feel some discomfort or even some pain as the massage therapist works on areas where there are adhesions or scar tissue.

You should always tell your massage therapist if you feel pain during the massage. The therapist can adjust the technique or further prep the tissues if the superficial muscles are tense.

The reported benefits of deep tissues massage include:

  • Pain elimination – not just injuries but chronic conditions too.
  • Lower blood pressure and heart rate.
  • Reduced inflammation.
  • Better sleep.
  • Increased range of motion.

Schedule a deep tissue massage every 2 weeks to help your muscles stay loose so you can work out harder and stay pain-free.

Though massage therapy is generally safe, deep tissue massage uses very firm pressure and may not be safe for everyone.

Speak to your doctor before having a deep tissue massage if you:

  • Have a history of blood clots or a clotting disorder.
  • Are taking blood thinners.
  • Have a bleeding disorder.
  • Have cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment, such as chemotherapy or radiation
